Thank you - seriously - for writing this post, so I didn't have to. I now see that there's been lots and lots of water gone (which way mine flows, I'm not sure) under our respective bridges. I just got back from 30 minutes of energy work - the therapist said she repeatedly got the infinity sign during the session. I'll be looking into that. Acceptance (followed by the bloody adjustments, yeah) is all. I could go on, but I won't. When I think how close the world came to losing you (and me, earlier this year - long story), I'm just grateful we still have you here, and me, too. Love on ya' Ehwic. P.S. One day, I'll have my husband film me getting myself outta the car and you can have a larf.
You and I are roughly the same age and same height. I recently lost some weight. I checked my BMI and found I had gone from overweight to healthy. When I told my doctor the good news, he said we hadn’t checked my height in a while. We checked. I shrunk an inch and a half and am now back to overweight. My advice to you is don’t check your height!
What a great, great post... thank you. Memories trickling back, we're a similar age, now I'm in Cambodia but I grew up in Thurso in the far north of Scotland where things like electricity and colour television took even longer to arrive. I saw you in nearby town Wick, during the Be Stiff tour, which was very exciting and inspiring for all the music dreamers of that (frankly godforsaken - RL Stevenson was right) area. You may enjoy this - Melanie was the frontwoman of Betty Ford & the GT Falcons, a rowdy Phnom Penh garage band, from 14 years ago... https://youtu.be/slD0tAI_5mE?si=EWpnYmtjmWcsAqdQ

Brilliant. My wife loves this track, hasn’t listened to the lyrics thankfully. We’ll be seeing you at The Lexington and Coventry.
There's nothing bad in the lyrics is there? Thanks for coming to two shows! With band at the Lexington, solo in Coventry. I'll try to be good at both.
The hapless husband is a bit close to home!
Water flowing uphill… she got that right
not so much these days - I'm a lot more accepting and even adaptable!
